Refund policy
RETURN, REFUND & WARRANTY POLICY
Effective Date: August 2026
OVERVIEW
TV Vault, LLC ("TV Vault," "we," "us," "our") sells open-box televisions and related electronics. Because our products are open-box goods sold as-is, all sales are final. We do not accept returns and do not issue refunds, exchanges, or store credit after a product has been accepted by the customer.
If a television arrives damaged, refuse the delivery — do not sign for it. Refused deliveries are returned to us and resolved by replacement, substitution, or refund. See Section 5.
Every television we sell includes a three (3) year protection plan administered by an independent third-party warranty administrator. You must activate this coverage yourself using the activation card included with your television. Warranty coverage is described in Sections 12 through 22 of this policy.
Please read this policy carefully before purchasing. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
PART ONE — RETURNS AND REFUNDS
SECTION 1 — OPEN-BOX PRODUCTS ARE SOLD AS-IS
Open-box televisions and other open-box items are previously opened, returned, floor-model, or repackaged goods. They may show cosmetic imperfections, may not include original packaging or all original accessories, and are not new.
ALL OPEN-BOX PRODUCTS ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND "WITH ALL FAULTS." To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, TV Vault disclaims all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to open-box products. This disclaimer does not affect coverage provided under the protection plan described in the Warranty section below.
SECTION 2 — INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION BEFORE DEPARTURE
Every television is physically and operationally inspected before it leaves our warehouse. Each unit is:
- Visually inspected for cosmetic condition;
- Powered on and operationally tested;
- Certified by TV Vault; and
- Certified by the delivery carrier at the time of pickup (for delivered orders).
This inspection record establishes the condition of the product at the time it leaves our custody.
SECTION 3 — CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
At the time of purchase, you will be asked to sign or electronically accept an acknowledgment confirming that you understand:
- The product is open-box and is sold as-is;
- No returns, refunds, exchanges, or store credit are available after acceptance;
- If a delivered television arrives damaged, you must refuse the delivery rather than sign for it, and refused deliveries are resolved by replacement, substitution, or refund as described in Section 5;
- The product was inspected and certified as functional before leaving our warehouse;
- Risk of loss and damage during transit is borne by the delivery carrier, not TV Vault;
- Your remedy for functional or operational failure is the third-party protection plan described in the Warranty section below;
- You are responsible for activating your protection plan coverage, and your coverage term begins on the date of purchase regardless of when you activate.
Your signed acknowledgment is a condition of sale.
SECTION 4 — IN-STORE PURCHASES AND LOCAL PICKUP
For purchases taken from our Glendale location — whether purchased in store or picked up after an online order — you are responsible for inspecting the unit before you take possession. You will:
- Visually inspect the television;
- Observe the unit powered on and operating;
- Sign a certification confirming the television is free of damage and functions properly.
Once you sign the certification and take possession, the sale is final. No returns, refunds, exchanges, or store credit are available.
SECTION 5 — DELIVERED ORDERS: INSPECT BEFORE YOU SIGN
Deliveries are performed by independent third-party delivery companies. All deliveries require your signature. A television will not be left without a signature.
Inspect your television before you sign. Your signature is your acceptance of the product in the condition delivered.
5.1 If the television arrives damaged — REFUSE THE DELIVERY
If you observe damage at the time of delivery, do not sign for the unit. Refuse the delivery.
When you refuse a delivery for damage:
- The carrier returns the television to TV Vault.
- We inspect the returned unit. We compare its condition against our pre-departure inspection record to confirm the damage occurred in transit.
- We send you a replacement. If we confirm transit damage, we will send you a replacement unit at no additional cost to you, including delivery.
- We pursue our own claim against the carrier. This is our claim to make and does not involve you.
Because our televisions are open-box goods, individual units are often one of a kind. If we do not have an identical replacement in stock, we will contact you to arrange either a reasonable substitute unit or a full refund of the purchase price, including any delivery fee paid. You are not required to accept a substitute. If we cannot agree on a substitute, you will receive a full refund.
We will also issue a full refund if we are unable to source a replacement within a reasonable time, or if you prefer a refund rather than waiting for one.
Refused deliveries are the only circumstance under which TV Vault issues a refund on an open-box television.
5.2 Once you sign, the sale is final
After you sign for and accept a delivery, you have no further recourse against TV Vault for damage of any kind, including damage discovered after the carrier departs. Signing constitutes your certification that the television was received free of damage and in working order.
If you discover damage after signing, your claim is against the delivery carrier, not TV Vault. TV Vault will provide, on request, our pre-departure inspection certification and the carrier's contact and claims information to assist you.
TV Vault is not liable for any damage occurring after a product leaves our warehouse.
SECTION 6 — FUNCTIONAL AND OPERATIONAL FAILURE — WARRANTY
If your television stops working or develops a functional or operational problem after acceptance, your remedy is the third-party protection plan included with every television at no additional charge.
Contact the Warranty Administrator directly — do not contact TV Vault for warranty service.
See the Warranty section below (Sections 12 through 22) for full details on coverage, exclusions, term length, the optional extended coverage available at checkout, and how to file a claim.
Note that the plan covers functional and operational failure only. It does not cover physical damage.
SECTION 7 — NEW (NON-OPEN-BOX) PRODUCTS
Certain products we sell are new, factory-sealed goods for which TV Vault is an authorized retailer. New products are identified as such on their product pages.
New products are not covered by this policy's as-is terms. New products are returnable to the manufacturer under the manufacturer's own warranty terms. Please refer to the manufacturer's documentation included with your product, or contact us at support@tvvault.com and we will direct you to the appropriate manufacturer process.
TV Vault does not accept returns of new products directly; returns are handled by the manufacturer under their warranty terms.
SECTION 8 — ORDER CANCELLATION
You may cancel an order within twenty-four (24) hours of placing it, provided the product has not yet been released to a carrier or picked up.
After 24 hours, orders cannot be cancelled. If a product has already been released to a carrier or picked up within the 24-hour window, cancellation is not available and Section 5 governs.
Cancellation requests must be sent to support@tvvault.com and are subject to our acceptance.
SECTION 9 — PRICE ADJUSTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS
Prices are subject to change without notice. We do not offer price adjustments on completed purchases.
SECTION 10 — YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain remedies. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any right you may have that cannot be lawfully limited. Where such a limitation is not permitted, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

PART TWO — WARRANTY
WARRANTY OVERVIEW
Every television sold by TV Vault is covered by a three (3) year protection plan at no additional charge. Optional extended coverage is available at checkout.
The plan is provided and administered by an independent third-party warranty company (the "Warranty Administrator"). The Warranty Administrator currently engaged by TV Vault is identified in Section 21 of this policy and on the activation card included with your television.
You must activate your coverage. An activation card with your code and instructions is included with every television. See Section 12.3.
Important: TV Vault does not provide the warranty. Coverage is provided and administered by the Warranty Administrator, an independent third-party company. All warranty claims, service, diagnosis, repair, and replacement decisions are handled by the Warranty Administrator under the terms of its protection plan.
TV Vault may change its Warranty Administrator from time to time. Any such change will not affect coverage already in force on televisions previously purchased; your plan remains with the administrator identified on your activation card.
SECTION 12 — WHAT'S INCLUDED
12.1 Standard three-year coverage
Every television purchased from TV Vault includes a 3-year protection plan, included in the purchase price at no extra cost.
12.2 Optional extended coverage
At checkout, you may purchase an additional two (2) years of coverage, extending total protection to five (5) years from the date of purchase.
Extended coverage pricing is based on television screen size and is displayed at checkout. Extended coverage must be purchased at the time of your original order; it cannot be added later.
12.3 You must activate your coverage
Activation is your responsibility. An activation card is included with every television. The card contains your activation code, the identity and contact details of the Warranty Administrator, and step-by-step instructions for registering your plan directly with them.
Please activate your coverage promptly upon receiving your television. If you cannot locate your activation card or have difficulty activating, contact us at support@tvvault.com and we will help you obtain your code.
12.4 When coverage begins
Your coverage term begins on the date of purchase — not the date of activation and not the date of delivery.
Activating later does not extend your coverage term. A 3-year plan runs three years from your purchase date regardless of when you activate; a 5-year plan runs five years from your purchase date. Delaying activation shortens the time you have remaining under the plan.
Activation requirements, deadlines, and the effect of any failure to activate are governed by the Warranty Administrator's plan terms.
SECTION 13 — WHAT IS COVERED
The protection plan covers functional and operational failure of the television, including:
- Failure of the unit to power on or operate;
- Failure of internal components affecting normal operation;
- Operational defects arising during the coverage term.
SECTION 14 — WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The protection plan does not cover physical damage of any kind, including but not limited to:
- Cracked, broken, or damaged screens or panels;
- Cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, or scuffs;
- Damage occurring during shipping or delivery;
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper installation;
- Damage from liquid, fire, or environmental causes;
- Pre-existing cosmetic conditions disclosed at the time of sale as part of the open-box condition.
This list is a summary. The complete terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations of coverage are set by the Warranty Administrator and are contained in the plan documentation provided with your purchase. In the event of any conflict between this summary and the plan documents, the plan documents govern.
Damage occurring during shipping or delivery is addressed in Sections 4 and 5 of this policy and in our Shipping & Delivery Policy — it is not a warranty matter.
SECTION 15 — HOW TO FILE A CLAIM
Contact the Warranty Administrator directly. Do not contact TV Vault for warranty service.
The Warranty Administrator's name and contact information are listed in Section 21 of this policy and on the activation card included with your television.
Have your proof of purchase and television model information available when you make contact.
Your plan must be activated before you can file a claim. If you have not yet activated, see Section 12.3.
SECTION 16 — THE CLAIM PROCESS
The Warranty Administrator handles claims through a stepwise diagnostic process:
- Phone consultation. You will speak with a technician about the issue.
- Guided diagnostics. The technician will walk you through diagnostic testing over the phone.
- In-home service. If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, a technician will be dispatched to your location.
- Repair or replacement. The technician will repair the television on site, or the Warranty Administrator will replace the unit with the same or an equivalent television.
Repair and replacement decisions are made solely by the Warranty Administrator in accordance with its plan terms. TV Vault does not make, review, or influence these determinations.
SECTION 17 — TV VAULT'S ROLE
TV Vault's role is limited to selling the television and providing you with the activation card and code. Specifically:
- TV Vault is not the warrantor, insurer, or administrator of the protection plan;
- TV Vault does not activate or register your coverage on your behalf — activation is your responsibility (see Section 12.3);
- TV Vault does not perform warranty diagnosis, repair, or replacement;
- TV Vault does not decide claim outcomes;
- TV Vault is not liable for the Warranty Administrator's performance, claim decisions, service timelines, or denial of any claim.
If you have difficulty reaching the Warranty Administrator or need help locating your plan information, contact us at support@tvvault.com and we will assist you in making contact. This assistance does not make TV Vault a party to the protection plan.
SECTION 18 — OPEN-BOX PRODUCTS SOLD AS-IS
Open-box televisions are sold as-is and with all faults. Apart from the third-party protection plan described in this policy, TV Vault provides no warranty of any kind, express or implied, on open-box products.
To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, TV Vault disclaims all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions may not apply to you. This policy gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.
SECTION 19 — NEW (NON-OPEN-BOX) PRODUCTS
New, factory-sealed products for which TV Vault is an authorized retailer are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty, not by the third-party protection plan.
For warranty service or returns on new products, contact the manufacturer directly using the documentation included with your product, or email support@tvvault.com and we will direct you to the appropriate manufacturer process.
SECTION 20 — TRANSFERABILITY
Transferability of coverage is governed by the Warranty Administrator's plan terms. Contact the Warranty Administrator directly with questions about transferring coverage.
SECTION 21 — CURRENT WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR
The Warranty Administrator currently engaged by TV Vault is:
Consumer Priority Service Website: cpscentral.com
Consumer Priority Service is an independent third-party company. It is not affiliated with, owned by, or controlled by TV Vault, and TV Vault is not a party to its protection plans.
File all warranty claims directly with Consumer Priority Service.
TV Vault may change its Warranty Administrator at any time. A change does not affect coverage already in force — your plan remains with the administrator identified on the activation card that came with your television. Always use the contact information on your activation card if it differs from the above.
